Personal Image & Wellness As we grow older, managing our Personal Image MUST include how we take care of these 6-WELLNESS ASPECTS in our lives.

Physical Wellness

We need to maintain physical fitness with any range of activities that we enjoy. As we grow older, we may be weaker or frail – but these should not prevent us from exercising and maintaining our fitness level.

Spiritual Wellness

Try to find meaning, value and our place in the world. Spiritual wellness does not mean being religious – it is about developing a personal value system that guides our decisions and helps us accept and overcome obstacles in life.

Intellectual Wellness

Learn new things and indulge in exciting personal interests – build and expand our trove of knowledge and skills through mentally stimulating activities.

Emotional Wellness

Developing a positive and resilient mindset helps us overcome challenges. We need to express our emotions and not bottle up in our heart and mind. Learn to accept and manage adversity – count our blessings and remind ourselves that we have more than others in the world today.

Social Wellness

Form and maintain healthy, harmonious and positive relationships with family, friends and the community.

Vocational Wellness

We can achieve personal fulfilment and actualisation by doing something meaningful with our talents, skills, experience or interests. Work need not be a job, but doing something worthwhile like volunteering or helping others.
